We put the safety of our workforce above all else. Our contract staff is a well-trained force, and is up-to-date with first aid, fire fighting and SHE methods. Training is also regularly done on fall arrest, risk assessment and scaffolding, as well as the correct and safe handling of the tools and machinery necessary to the trade. In addition each worker is issued with personal protective equipment (hard hats, protective ear- and eye-wear, dust masks, gloves, overalls, reflective vests and safety boots), “toolbox talks” are done at the start of each working day, and safety audits and risk assessments are carried out before each job is started.

Draco’s safety record is impeccable, with just a few minor injuries to report over the many years of operations. Draco has never been issued with a non-conformity or non-compliance report – and each site has a dedicated safety officer to ensure that this never happens.
